Restoration · Listed Buildings · Conservation

Joinery for buildings worth keeping.

Listed Sussex farmhouses, conservation-area cottages, Edwardian shopfronts, Georgian fanlights, for thirty years we've been quietly putting them back together. Profile-matched and faithful to the original.

Restored oak Gothic-arch porch door in a Sussex tiled entrance

Restoration starts with the survey. We measure the original openings, photograph the existing profiles, take templates of mouldings, then draw the replacement to match. New work goes in looking like old work, because that's the point.

Most of our restoration work comes through architects, surveyors and word of mouth. We've worked across Sussex and Kent on listed buildings, period cottages and shopfronts, and private homes from Tudor through Edwardian.

Where the original piece can be saved, we save it. Splice repairs, scarf joints, in-situ rot treatment, lead-light reglazing. Where it can't, we draw and build the replacement to the original profile. Same timber where possible, old oak, old pine, salvaged where the conservation case demands it.
