About · Established 1995
Thirty years at the same bench.
Forest Joinery was started in 1995 in a workshop on Bell Lane, Uckfield. The bench is still there. So is the saw. So, mostly, are the customers.
Our Story
A workshop, three benches, and a slow rule against shortcuts.
Forest Joinery began the way most good workshops do, one joiner, a small shed, and word-of-mouth orders from people who’d been let down by the high-street alternatives. Thirty years on the workshop is bigger, but the principle hasn’t changed: every piece is drawn, cut and fitted by the same hands that quoted it.
Most of our regular work comes through architects, chartered surveyors and conservation officers across Sussex and Kent. The rest is private clients, homeowners, renovators, retailers, who want something specific and want it done properly first time.
We’re an Accoya Approved Manufacturer, work mainly in hardwoods and Accoya, and are happy to supply the conservation drawings and profiles that listed-building applications need.

How We Work
One conversation. One quote. One team responsible.
-
1. Visit & survey
We come out, measure properly, and listen to what you want. Free, no obligation, no salesman. -
2. Drawings & quote
You get scaled drawings, a clear timber spec and a fixed price. If you’re applying for listed-building consent, the drawings come in a form your planner can submit. -
3. Build in the workshop
Everything is made on Bell Lane, not outsourced, not flat-packed. You’re welcome to come and see it part-built before it comes to site. -
4. Fit on site, signed off
We fit it ourselves. Frame, threshold, ironmongery, paint touch-up, you don’t need to chase anyone else.
